Once again, Embark will be hosting a training camp this year aimed towards the Mossel Bay 70.3 and Durban 70.3. Our camp has 2 destinations, Mossel Bay and Hermanus, over 4 days (including a public holiday), with lots of swimming, biking, running and triathlon!
We will be heading down to Mossel Bay (roughly 4 hours drive from Cape Town) on Friday the 5th August, so that we can be ready first thing on Saturday morning, to ride the IRONMAN 70.3 90km bike route. We will swim later on in the day and have a team dinner that evening.
On Sunday morning the 7th, we will do a shorter 40km ride and run off the bike, we will run the 10km route loop, then have a leisurely brunch. Pack up and head to Hermanus (roughly 2h30 drive) for an afternoon swim around 4pm. We will be practicing getting through the waves.
On Monday morning the 8th we will do a longer ride (80-100km) towards Gordon's Bay. In the afternoon a cliff path run and team dinner on the town and dancing on the tables.
Tuesday the 9th (public holiday) we will do a shorter 40km ride and a run off the bike. There will be a pool or dam swim in the later afternoon.
You can come to all the days, or just part of the camp, its up to you. For current active Embark members its R400 for all 4 days (or R200 for only 2 days) Its R500 for non Embark members.
