Train For The Robben Island Crossing
Attention all swimmers! πββοΈπββοΈ
We are thrilled to announce that the next 13-week progressive training program for the Robben Island crossing will begin on May 1st with our coach Nicol Muller π
Please note that to participate in the program, the beginning level of swimming fitness required is to be able to swim 1600 meters comfortably.
Whether you are an experienced open-water swimmer or just starting out, this program is designed to help you achieve your goals and build your confidence in the water. With expert coaching and a supportive community of fellow swimmers, you'll be well on your way to completing the iconic Robben Island crossing in no time.
The program will run until the week of July 31st, which is the proposed week for the crossing. Over the course of the 13 weeks, we'll gradually increase the distance and intensity of our swims, building up the endurance and stamina needed to tackle the challenging South Atlantic waters.
