Train for the 2023 Knysna half marathon this winter and see how much easier it is to stick to a program with the help from a coach and a group training squad. Training officially kicks off this week. Our running program is coached by our Atlantic Seaboard running coach, Garth Dorman, who facilitates all levels of runners and ability. Register here.
The program is presented, tracked and monitored through an online app called Training Peaks. There are three weekly group sessions:
- Tuesday 6am, a speed session on the track, Green Point
- Thursday 6am, hills for strength, various locations around the Atlantic seaboard
- Saturday 7am, long run various location around Cape Town and Southern Suburbs
There are 3 options for the program:
- Full program R500/m
- Hills only R350/m
- Weekend long run R200/m (longer group runs)
The Knysna half marathon route is a FAST course, so a little bit of focussed training will help you to run your best half yet. If you dont intend to do the race, no problem, we have many runners who join our group training for the safety and group environment.
