Train for the IRONMAN 70.3 Mossel Bay with Embark
All our branches will be running the coached group programs for the inaugural garden route Ironman race, namely 70.3 Mossel Bay. The race is happening on the 6th November. We will begin with our training early April, so please get in touch with us should you want to follow the program and/or join in on the group training at the various branches. We have options for personalised online programs, tailored to you and presented in the industry leading software for tracking, monitoring and progression. If you are on the fence about joining, please give your local coach a call to find out how easy it is to start with a coach and a group!
IRONMAN 70.3 Durban training is in full swing
We are still on track for the IRONMAN 70.3 Durban that is happening on 5th June. We have our athletes training hard in all our branches across South Africa. Its an insane day of multisport for the athletes, cheered on by streets lined with supporters and of course the Embark Gazebo for family and friends to watch from! BEST OF LUCK TO ALL OUR ATHLETES TAKING PART!! Lots of first timers, lots of returning athletes and lots and lots of supporters!! We are so excited for this weekend!! Congrats to the Embark coaches for getting the athletes ready for this milestone race.

Train for the Knysna half or full marathon with coach Garth Dorman
With the 2 Oceans marathon fast approaching, we start to move our attention to the Knysna half and full marathon. This will be kicking off on Tues 19th April, so register now and get involved with this fun running crew. Training to run your best half or full yet! Training consists of a weekly speed session on the athletics track, a hills sessions around the Atlantic Seaboard, and weekend long run in various locations! Don’t forget to enter for this race as entries will sell out
Start your Maximum Aerobic Function 3 month program at anytime.
If you are new to running, or returning after a break, then we have a great 12 week program for you to ‘create’ your running mojo, or get your running mojo back!! The Maximum Aerobic Function program is also considers post-natal moms, injury prone athletes, weight conscious athletes and slower runners! This program will give you the confidence to then join one of our coached group ‘goal-driven’ programs that require a slight level of fitness to take part in.
This program introduces a training method called the Maximum Aerobic Function program. Its aimed at developing each athlete’s aerobic system, in a slow and controlled phase over 12 weeks. All athletes will need a heart rate monitor and around 5-7 hours per week for low intensity activity. The aim is to super charge your aerobic engines in 12 weeks. The program is presented through an app called Training Peaks, and through this we are able to monitor and analyse every session.
